The University of Jordan (UJ) proudly announces the launch of its Research Groups Project, encompassing approximately 60 research groups across five key knowledge domains. This initiative reflects the university's commitment to scientific research and researchers, and enhances UJ's illustrious six-decade journey marked by dedication and achievement.
The establishment of these research groups underscores the university's belief that scientific research is a tool for building knowledge, providing a deeper understanding of various issues, and delivering numerous advancements that have contributed to human progress. Scientific research is also a means to enhance societal awareness, debunk falsehoods, support facts, identify and seize opportunities, and foster critical thinking and analysis. The global trend towards promoting collaborative research within registered research groups, encompassing diverse areas of expertise, aims to tackle interdisciplinary topics and yield results with significant social and economic value. It is essential that the formation and operation of these research groups align with the academic institution's vision and strategic plan.
The University of Jordan boasts scholars with knowledge and creativity, and minds capable of driving change and contributing to economic growth and human well-being through collaboration with the industrial, energy, and agricultural sectors, among others.
The goal of these research groups is to support research collaboration and networking among researchers from various disciplines, encourage the use of diverse expertise, enhance the capabilities of emerging researchers and postgraduate students, support research partnerships with local and international universities and research centers, improve the quality and quantity of research, enhance opportunities for external research funding, and improve the university's global ranking.
