Project Title and acronym: Capacity Building Educational Program for Preceptors: Supporting medical students' clinical experience (CaP4Preceptors)

 

The main goal of the project is to build the capacity of clinical preceptors who work in the educational hospitals in Jordan, using the TOT methodology, and through the international cooperation and partnership between six higher education institutions in Jordan, the Ministry of Health and two EU higher education institutions in the field of medical education.

Specific objectives:

 

  • Increase the number of qualified medical professors available to teach medical students and serve as trainers for clinical preceptors.
  •  Increase the number of qualified clinical preceptors available to supervise medical students at the educational hospitals during their internship.
  • Improve the quality of the clinical experience for Jordanian medical students that contributes to better learning outcomes including professional competencies, soft skills, and employability potential in Jordan and around the world.
  •  Create a platform of learning and collaboration for preceptors to share best practices and strategies for teaching and evaluating medical students.
  • Stimulate and foster cooperation, transfer of knowledge and skills, exchange of good practice among medical colleges in Jordan, and the EU higher education institutions.
