الاستاذ الدكتور عبد الرحيم الحنيطي
 
Prof. Abdelrahim Al-Hunai was Born in Amman in 1952, and earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Jordan in 1975, a Masters degree in Microbiology from the University of California, Fresno, USA, in 1979, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Washington State University, Pullman, USA, in 1983.
 
Prof. Hunaiti joined Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan, in 1983 as an assistant professor where he was promoted to associate professor in 1987 and to full professor in 1992. 
 
 
Prof. Hunaiti moved to Mu’tah University in 1993 to become the Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies. He then assumed various academic and administrative positions including Vice President for Administrative Affairs and Projects and Vice President for Scientific Faculties.
 
 
In 2004, Prof. Hunaiti assumed four high ranking administrative positions in quick succession from Vice President of Philadelphia University, to Dean of the Faculty of Science at Yarmouk University, to Director General Manager of the Higher Education Accreditation Council, ending with President of the University of Jordan where he remained until May 2007.
 
 
In June 2007 Prof. Hunaiti became President of the Higher Education Accreditation Commission before becoming President of the Hashemite University in February 2008, and President of Mu’tah University in March 2009 where he remained till March 2013.  He then returned to the University of Jordan to resume his academic career as professor of biochemistry..
 
Prof. Hunaiti is a published scientist with tens of peer reviewed research articles and books.  He won the Abdulhamid Shoman Prize for Young Arab Scientists in 1990, and was granted a German DAAD guest scientist grant in 1986, and an Alexander Von Humboldt fellowship in 1992.
