Prof. Abdullah Al-Musa was Born in AL-Mansi in Palestine in 1948, he earned a bachelor's degree in pesticides from the University of Alexandria in Egypt in 1971, a Master degree in horticulture from the American University of Beirut in 1975 and a PHD in virology from the University of Washington in the United States of America in 1979 .
He was appointed as a Research and Teaching assistant at the University of Jordan in 1975 and as an assistant professor from 1979 to 1984. After that he was promoted to a professor rank in 1991.
Prof. Abdullah Al-Musa held many academic and administrative positions including, the head of prevention Department at the Faculty of Agriculture from 1989 - 1992, the deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture from 1993 - 1997 , the dean of the faculty of Agriculture from 1997-1999 and the Vice President for scientific and medical faculties and institutes.
In 2002 he became the president of the University of Jordan.
Prof. Abdullah Al-Musa was a Member in the Board of Directors at Jordanian – American Commission for Educational Exchange in Fulbright, the screening committee of the Fulbright and in the administrative council of the National Centre for Biotechnology.
