Prof. Fawzi Gharaibeh was Born in Irbid in 1943, he earned a B.A degree in Business from Cairo University, Egypt in 1965, a MBA from Texas Tech University, United States of America in 1968 and a PhD in Business Administration philosophy from the University of Wisconsin - United States in 1972.
Prof. Gharaibeh held several academic positions at the University of Jordan including Head of Accounting Department 1974-1975, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Economy and Trade 1975-1978, Assistant Professor 1972-1976, Associate Professor 1976 – 1981 and Professor 1981, he was appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences 1983 – 1986 and the Vice President for Administrative Affairs 1986 - 1990. In 1991 he became the president of the University of Jordan until 1998, after that he was appointed as the Minister of Education 1998-1999.
Prof. Gharaibeh has many publications, research and studies in both Arabic and English languages, he has been a Visiting Scholar at Portland State University, United States of America and a visiting Scholar at LBJ School of Public Affairs, The University of Texas at Austin, United States of America. Prof. Gharaibeh has many significant memberships in many Councils and scientific committees.
